During this beginning period of undergrad, I focused on building connections with my classmates and professors, while learning to navigate the life of being a full time college student.
As I wrapped up the semester, my professor offered me a Teaching Assistant position for her lab class. While I did not think I was ready to be such figure to fellow students (as a student myself), she believed I demonstrated strength in Java programming and communication skills.
After 4 years at Hawaii Pacific University, I graduated and got a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. As I closed this chapter, I refelected deeply on all the experiences I've had, people I've met, and truly understanding what it means to be supported by family and friends.
I started my first internship at the Honolulu Fire Department. During this time, I got a feel for what it was like to work within the City & County environment, where the mission is to help the greater Honolulu.
